Construction package 2-3 is a design-build contract covering civil works on the 97km stretch from Fresno south to the border between Tulare and Kern counties near Bakersfield, and is expected to be worth between $US 1.5bn and $US 2bn. CHSRA expects environmental approval for this section to be granted by next summer.
The deadline for submitting statements of qualification is December 6.
