The 130km shortline links Mullins, South Carolina with Whiteville, North Carolina and Conway, South Carolina, where it connects to a line to Myrtle Beach which is owned by Horry County.
The acquisition is due to come into effect on August 1 and RJ Corman plans to spend around $US 2m rehabilitating the line, which was closed in 2011
