ANSALDOBREDA has signed three contracts worth a total of €35.6m to provide fleet maintenance and component logistics services for two Italian operators.

The largest of the three contracts is with Trenord, the joint venture between North Milan Railways (FNM) and Trenitalia which operates regional services in Lombardy, and has a total value of €24.6m. Under the two-year contract, which includes an optional one-year extension, AnsaldoBreda will maintain Trenord's fleet of TSR double-deck EMUs, 78 of which are currently in service with a further 14 sets on order.

Florence light rail operator Gest, a subsidiary of Paris Transport Authority (RATP), has awarded an €8.5m five-year full service maintenance contract for the fleet of AnsaldoBreda Sirio low-floor LRVs used on Line 1. AnsaldoBreda will be responsible for spare parts supply as well as preventative and corrective maintenance, which will be carried out at Scandicci depot in Florence. The second contract is worth €1.5m and covers the revision of onboard systems on the Sirio fleet.
