The contract is valued at around Zlotys 310m ($US 99m) and includes the installation of new seats, interior panels, and flooring as well as CCTV, air conditioning, and lighting, new toilets, and a new driver's desk.
In addition the vehicles will be equipped with new traction equipment and a new braking system which will allow the maximum speed to be raised from 110km/h to 120km/h.
Bidders are required to pay a deposit of Zlotys 5m, and the bids will be scored exclusively on price. The closing date for offers is April 9 and the work must be completed within 18 months of contract signing.
