Dynamic testing of CAF's prototype Oaris high-speed emu has begun on the Madrid - Seville high-speed line. The four-car train was outshopped from CAF's Beasain plant in August and initially moved to Toledo for static testing.
CAF has sold the train to Spanish national operator Renfe, which was allowed to substitute the last of its order for class 120 emus for the first Oaris set. In order to gain certification for operation at up to 320km/h, the train will be required to run at speeds of more than 352km/h.
