Opole orders Newag regional EMUs

THE Polish region of Opole has awarded Newag, Poland, a contract to supply five Impuls regional EMUs with an option for two additional trains.

The 160km/h trains will be delivered between July 2016 and January 2018 and will be used on Wroclaw - Opole - Kedzierzyn-Kozle services.

Each three-car set will seat 176 passengers and will be equipped with passenger Wi-Fi, at-seat 230V ac power sockets, and storage areas for bicycles.

Opole is the eleventh Polish region to order Impuls EMUs.
