KS is the first customer for Pesa’s new family of regional EMUs and a total of 19 sets will be delivered to Silesia by August 2018.
KS says it expects to receive two more three-car trains together with four two-car and four four-car sets by the end of November. Assembly is taking place at Pesa’s plant in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
The trains have been designed to improve access for passengers with reduced mobility, with features including baby changing facilities, at-seat power sockets, and LED lighting.
