The EMU order will comprise 10 3kV dc three-car double-deck trains for domestic operations, and 10 four-car multi-system (3kV dc, 15kV ac and 25kV ac) sets capable of operating cross-border services.

The deadline for submission of offers is August 4 and deliveries will take place between mid-2018 and the middle of 2019.

The contract will include an option for 25 additional trains.
