East German Railway Company (ODEG) has ordered 16 four-car trains from Stadler Pankow, which will be introduced from December on Stendal - Rathenow
- Cottbus and Wismar - Wittenberge - Ludwigsfelde regional expresses. The 160km/h trains seat 428 passengers, 24 of them in first class.

The second train on display is one of 28 four-car sets ordered by BLS for the Bern S-Bahn network. Each four-car train is 102.6m long and seats 335 passengers including 61 in first class. The trains are accessible to disabled passengers and have space for three wheelchairs.

The first trains are due to start test operation on September 19 on Line S31 linking Belp and Münchenbuchsee, and will enter scheduled service on Line S1 (Fribourg – Bern – Thun) in December.
