The 160km/h 15-car train was ordered in August 2013 and comprises 10 standard class coaches, which accommodate 102 passengers and five first class vehicles seating 60. Interiors were developed in cooperation with Italian design house Giugiaro and each seat is equipped with a folding table, reading lamp, and power socket.
FPC already operates a fleet of 50 double-deck sleeping coaches, which were also built by TVZ and entered service in November 2013.
TVZ is a subsidiary of Transmashholding.
