RUSSIAN freight wagon producer Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) has indicated an interest in establishing an assembly facility in Angola to build rolling stock for railways in southern Africa.

The manufacturer expects the project will require an investment of around €77m, and is looking for local companies to act as a partner in the project.

At present, Angola imports most of its rolling stock from either China or North America.
