MONTENEGRO’s rail infrastructure manager ZICG has awarded AŽD Praha a €6.1m contract to resignal the main station in the capital Podgorica.

AŽD Praha will supply its ESA 44 electronic interlocking system together with three PZZ-J level crossing safety systems, 55 type EP600 point machines, LED signals, axle counters for track occupancy detection, and signalling cables.

The company’s Serbian subsidiary AŽD Saobračajni Sistemi will play a key role in the implementation of the project.
