The equipment will be used for trials on the Nakano-sakaue - Honancho branch of the Marunouchi Line (Line 4), using a specially-equipped 02 Series train.
If the trials are successful, Tokyo Metro plans to deploy CBTC across the entire 27.4km line by 2023.
