Bouygues sold 29,150,000 shares - equivalent to 13% of Alstom’s total share capital - at a price of €37 per share on September 12, raising a total of €1.079bn.  

The sale price represents a 6% discount compared with Alstom’s €39.38 closing price on the evening of September 11, the day before the offering. Alstom’s share price was down 4.9% at the close of trading on September 12.

Bouygues will remain Alstom’s largest shareholder with a 14.7% stake in the company.
