Durmazlar submitted a bid of €19.74m and the contract is due to be signed within the next few days.
The five-section bi-directional Silkworm vehicles will accommodate up to 250 passengers and will have a maximum speed of 70km/h.
The 7.2km east-west Akçaray line will link Otogar with Seka ferry terminal and is due to open in early-2017. The 10-station line will have a commercial speed of 20km/h.
