BRITISH open-access inter-city operator Hull Trains has unveiled photos of the first completed body shell for the new Class 802 trains which from December 2019 will replace the fleet of class 180 DMUs on services from London Kings Cross to Hull and Beverley.
GREAT Western Railway (GWR) operated the first class 800 Intercity Express Trains built by Hitachi Rail Europe between London and Paignton on June 30, the first Intercity Express Train to travel beyond Exeter in passenger service.
TEST running has started on Britain’s East Coast Main Line between Doncaster and Darlington of the first of 19 class 802/2 Nova 1 bi-mode trains which Hitachi Rail Europe is building for First Group subsidiary TransPennine Express (TPE).
