Line 3 services start at Arenc Le Silo in the north and share tracks with Line 2 as far as Belsunce Alcazar station before diverging onto a new five-station branch along Rue du Rome, terminating at an interchange with metro lines 1 and 2 at Castellane.
Services operate at 6-7 minute intervals on weekdays with trams running every seven minutes on Saturdays and every 12-15 minutes on Sundays. The journey time for the 3.6km route is 16 minutes.
The opening of Line 3 expands the city's light rail network to 13km with 34 stations. A further 15km of new lines are due to be completed by 2020, including a 4.3km extension of Line 3 south from Castellane to La Gaye.
