KAZAKHSTAN Railways (KTZ) has signed a memorandum of understanding with GE Transportation to use digital technologies, with the aim of reducing fuel consumption, optimise power distribution, enhancing operational safety, and improving utilisation.

The framework includes the possibility of implementing GE’s supply chain management system on the network, which aims to ensure high efficiency of control over production assets and inventory management.

KTZ is exploring the possibility of utilising GE’s Precision Dispatch System and RailConnect 360 transport management system.
