The two companies say they will now work with the few remaining anti-trust authorities in other countries to gain their approval as soon as possible. Nokia wants to finalise the takeover during the first half of 2016.
The takeover also has to be approved by Nokia shareholders. Nokia will hold more than 50% of the shares in Alcatel-Lucent once the deal has been concluded.
