The project will improve safety and increase capacity while raising the maximum line speed to 160km/h. Six level crossings will be grade-separated and 25 crossings will be modernised.

Work on the section between Czachówek and Warka will be carried out by a consortium led by Strabag in a deal worth Zlotys 217m. Construction will begin in the fourth quarter of 2018 and is due to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2020.

A consortium led by Swietelsky Rail Poland, which includes Leonhard Weiss, has been awarded a Zlotys 429m contract to upgrade the Warka - Radom stretch. Work will begin in the fourth quarter of 2018 and is due to be completed by the second quarter of 2021.
