The SPG 2020 agreement includes the supply of RailRoadRunner manually-guided ultrasonic rail inspection trolleys, servicing of the A scan/B scan ultrasonic inspection equipment, and staff training.

The equipment will be used to inspect rails on short sections of track to pinpoint the location of irregularities reported by rail inspection trains, as well for inspecting turnouts and level crossings.

The RailRoadRunner is fitted with a weatherproof tablet computer and the inspection system components are integrated into a lightweight carbon trolley. It uses its 12 pulser channels to register defects in the rail head, web and foot. The data recorded provides permanent documentation of the condition of the rail at the time of inspection while a tracking system links the data to location information.

Standard test heads from different manufacturers can be connected via interface to the MiniFuris ultrasonic inspection system on the trolley.
