The orders include the company's first rail grinder sale to an Italian customer. The units will be delivered in 2014 and 2015 for use on the new Line 5 of the Milan metro.
Harsco will also deliver an additional P-811 tract renewal train and a multi-functional track maintenance machine to Indian Railways (IR) by early 2014, complementing IR's existing fleet of seven Harsco track renewal trains.
Finally, Harsco has signed a contract extension with British infrastructure manager Network Rail to maintain its fleet of stoneblowers until mid-2015. The deal includes an option for a two-year extension.
