IRJ at InnoTrans 2014: PLASSER & THEURER formally handed over a two-car GMTZ track recording train to German infrastructure manager DB Networks at InnoTrans on September 24.

The two-car train is equipped to monitor catenary and track geometry and is capable of measuring parallel tracks simultaneously. The train has a maximum speed of 140km/h.

DB Networks ordered the train at the end of 2012 as part of a €30m investment in new track measuring vehicles, which includes a single-unit DVT track and electrification measuring vehicle and a two-car SPZ set from Plasser.
