The sleepers have been installed on a 28m-long steel truss bridge at Fidjetun on the Drammen - Stavanger Sørlandet Line.
Jernbaneverket will evaluate various parameters including the durability of the sleepers and impact on noise before selecting a sleeper type for wider deployment.
