The 32m-long vehicles will be assembled at Alstom's La Rochelle site and are due to be delivered between March and August 2012.

valenciennes.jpgLine 2 will be single track and is being constructed in two phases,
both of which will open in 2013. The first section will run for 15.5km
from Anzin to Vieux Condé with 22 stations, while the second 12.5km
phase will link the city centre with Crespin and Quiévrechain in
Belgium with 10 stations. The line is expected to carry around 18,000
passengers per day.

A fleet of 21 Citadis LRVs is already in service in Valenciennes, and
Alstom expects Siturv to take up an option for one or two additional
vehicles next month.
