POLISH rolling stock manufacturer Pesa is celebrating its first ever German order after signing a contract on December 20 with Regentalbahn for a fleet of 12 two-car Link dmus.
 
pesa-link2.jpgThe trains will be built at Pesa's Bydgoszcz plant in Poland and deliveries will begin in June 2014 with the dmus entering service on the Regensburg - Marktredwitz - Schirnding line in December 2014. The 120km/h trains will accommodate up to 252 passengers, and will be fully compliant with the Technical Specification for Interoperbility for persons with reduced mobility (TSI PRM).

Pesa's Link dmu will debut this September with Czech Railways (CD), which has ordered 31 two-car sets for regional services around Karlovy Vary, Decin and Zlín.
