Challenges mount for Mumbai - Ahmedabad high-speed line

India announces $US 22.4bn 2020-21 rail budget
INDIA’s finance minister, Ms Nirmala Sitharaman, announced an outlay of Rs 1610bn ($US 22.4bn) for Indian Railways (IR) for the 2020-21 financial year on February 1, including a gross budgetary support of Rs 700bn. This is up slightly from the Rs 1600bn provided for 2019-20.
