The share acquisition was confirmed by Italo-NTV president, Mr Luca Di Montezemolo, on September 25.
The transaction makes Allianz the second-largest shareholder in the company.
GIP completed its €1.94bn acquisition of NTV in April.
Allianz acquires stake in Italo-NTV
GERMAN insurance company Allianz has acquired an 11.5% stake in Italo-NTV from Global Infrastructure Partners III (GIP), less than six months after the equity fund acquired the entire share capital in the Italian open-access high-speed operator.
