Tenders must be received by February 20 so that the winner can be announced in April and the hourly-interval services can begin with the new operator in December 2013.

The 9km Weissenhorn – Senden section was closed in 1966, but is being reopened and will have four stations. The tender prescribes the use of low-floor dmus with a seating capacity of 100-140 and room for at least one wheelchair. The trains must have been built since 1996.
