ALSTOM has signed a €1bn partnership agreement with Polish export credit agency KUKE which will support the manufacturer by securing financing for buyers for international tenders.

The agreement has a limit of €1bn and outlines the terms of cooperation that will strengthen and enhance the strategic contributions of the Polish industrial stakeholders under the framework of Alstom export contracts insured by KUKE.

Mr Sławomir Cyza, Alstom CEO and managing director for Poland, Ukraine and Baltic States says Poland is a key market for the business and an ideal place to expand. He says that the agreement will enable development and investments in Poland to increase rapidly.

The company says it is currently considering using KUKE’s support in several future projects across the globe.
