The groups have now been sent information dossiers so that they can submit non-binding offers for the company by the end of February.

 

"Given the standing of the companies that have expressed their interest in Grandi Stazioni Retail, we hope to have a close competition for the optimum valuation of the assets," says FS CEO Mr Renato Mazzoncini.

The sale of Grandi Stazioni Retail is likely to be followed by the sale of other FS assets, following the appointment of a new board of directors and management team in November 2015 in the wake of the resignation of the FS board and CEO over how to structure the privatisation 40% of the national railway.
