Soussan will remain available to Siemens Mobility in an advisory capacity until her contract with Siemens ends on December 31.

“Time has come for me to open a new chapter in my life,” Soussan tweeted on July 9.” As of 2021 I am honoured to join Dormakaba as CEO. I am deeply grateful to the awesome team at Siemens Mobility for the journey.” Soussan will start her new role at Dormakaba, which produces smart access and security solutions, on April 1 2021.

“We deeply regret that Sabrina Soussan is leaving us,” says Mr Roland Busch, member of the managing board and deputy CEO of Siemens. “At the same time, we understand her decision. We thank Ms Soussan for her outstanding achievements at Siemens and wish her every success in her new role.

“With Michael Peter as CEO, Siemens Mobility has a recognised expert for transportation, automation and digitalisation at its helm. Together with Sabrina Soussan, he has very successfully developed our mobility business and has further improved its performance.”

Peter currently leads the turnkey solutions, rail electrification, rail automation and road-traffic management systems businesses. He will now also take over Soussan’s responsibility for rolling stock and customers services.

Peter has electrical engineering degrees from Braunschweig Technical University and Madrid’s Polytechnic University. For the past 25 years, Peter has served in various capacities at Siemens in countries including Germany, Spain, Thailand and the United States.
