SWEDISH local transport operator Skånetrafiken has signed a Euros 100m contract with Alstom for the supply of 20 Coradia Nordic X61 regional emus. The four-car trains will be operated in the Skåne region in southern Sweden and will be delivered between 2013 and 2014.
SWEDISH local transport operator Skånetrafiken has signed a Euros 100m contract with Alstom for the supply of 20 Coradia Nordic X61 regional emus. The four-car trains will be operated in the Skåne region in southern Sweden and will be delivered between 2013 and 2014.
Coradia Nordic operates at a maximum speed of 160km/h and can seat up to 235 passengers. The order follows a contract signed in December 2006 for the supply of 69 Coradia Nordic Trains, 32 of which are already in service.
In total Alstom has sold 193 Coradia Nordic trains in Sweden since 2002 to operators including Stockholm Local Transport (SL), Västtrafik, and Östergötatrafiken.
