The deal includes a 20-year technical support spares supply agreement.

Assemby will take place at Siemens' facility in Sacramento, California and the locomotives will enter service from autumn 2021.

All locomotives are expected to be in service by 2024.

The four-axle 200km/h Charger is equipped with a 16-cylinder Cummins QSK95 diesel engine, which is compliant with US Environmental Protection Agency Tier 4 emissions standards.
