The first class 813.2 for KŽC was completed by ŽOS Zvolen, Slovakia, in January, and the trains were authorised for passenger operation last month.

KŽC has ordered two class 813.2 sets with financial support from the city of Prague. The trains will be used on services from Prague Masarykovo to Prague Čakovice, which is situated on the non-electrified line to Turnov.

Since 2014 KŽC has operated these weekday-only services using former Slovakian State Railways (ZSSK) class 810 railbuses.

The class 813.2 sets have been rebuilt from two class 810s and two trailers. The trailer vehicles now feature a low-floor section to improve access in compliance with the TSI for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (TSI-PRM).

The trains also feature new cab fronts with LED headlights. Each set accommodates 65 seated passengers and 120 standees.
