Occitanie has ordered five bi-mode and eight electric Régiolis in the suburban version, which have 50% more passenger doors than the regional variant.

At the request of the region, the trains are also equipped with automatic passenger counting, bicycle racks, and frontal destination displays.

Six of Alstom’s sites in France are involved in the project: Reichshoffen for the design and assembly, Ornans for the engines, Le Creusot for the bogies, Tarbes for the traction chains, Villeurbanne for the onboard IT systems and Saint-Ouen for the design.

The order follows the 33 Régiolis sets ordered by Occitanie since 2014.
