PKP Intercity has launched a tender to purchase up to 300 coaches for long distance passenger services.
The 200km/h coaches must be have authorisation to place on the market for Poland as well as Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Lithuania.
The coaches will have first or second class compartments and must be offered in seven variants with different compartment configurations. The coaches must meet requirements for passengers with reduced mobility, and will be equipped with air-conditioning.
The framework agreement will include an initial order for 38 first class coaches, with an option for another 19 coaches.
