The new fleet will be manufactured at Bombardier’s Crespin, Hauts-de-France site, and delivered in batches between 2024 and 2025.

The trains will be deployed on high-traffic lines in the region such as the Paris - Picardy inter-city routes to Amiens and Saint-Quentin and will also be introduced on the Picardy-Roissy rail link when it opens in 2025.

The 135m-long five-car trains have a capacity for up to 620 seated passengers and 12 bicycles and can be operated in pairs. The trains are equipped with ETCS, passenger information systems, air-conditioning and heated floors.

The trains were purchased under a framework agreement signed in 2010 for the supply of up to 860 Omneo EMUs to the French regions. To date, Bombardier has received orders for 491 train sets from the Omneo platform.

Bombardier is also currently producing a fleet of 19 Omneo Premium trains for Hauts-de-France, ordered by SNCF under the same contract in November 2018, for delivery between 2022 and 2023.
