UKRAINE-based LRV manufacturer Tatra-Yug has completed the delivery of 15 high-floor LRVs to the Egyptian city of Alexandria.
Each two-section unidirectional LRV is 22m-long, with capacity for up to 206 passengers including 30 seated.
The first Ukraine-built LRV was delivered to Alexandria at the beginning of 2019, after Tatra-Yug was awarded a contract in February 2017.
Egypt’s Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation signed a €100m loan agreement with the French Development Agency (AFD) in May 2017 to support a €360m modernisation of the 13.7km Raml tram line in Alexandria.
