The first trains are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2021, and will feature large multi-function areas for wheelchairs, strollers and bicycles with Wi-Fi available.

“Train travel has increased sharply in recent years,” says Västtrafik chairman, Mr Lars Holmin. “In order to reach our goals to triple ridership in the Västra Götaland region, old trains need to be replaced and the fleet needs to be reinforced with more trains. The new trains will contribute to even more attractive trips for our customers.”
