The national railway says its focus for the year will be on resolving issues around passenger and freight transport to allow an increase in volumes and passenger numbers. This includes increasing the use of intermodal trains on the network and improving the capacity of the state-owned Belintertrans logistic centre.
Work will continue on the development of the China - Europe - China freight corridors, while also improving freight specifically between China and Belarus.
BC is also wants to improve cooperation with foreign rolling stock and equipment manufacturers, while also looking to implement various investment projects.
