GERMAN Rail (DB) subsidiary DB Schenker’s Full Load Solutions (FLS) has been transferred to DB Cargo. The move is designed to help DB Cargo expand its position in the European rail logistics market.
The transfer involves the Transa Spedition, Hangartner Terminal and the majority of DB Schenker’s European Multi Modal Solutions departments.
All services in the future will be offered by DB Cargo and DB Schenker in close partnership.
FLS was established in 2019 and operates within DB Schenker’s European Land Transport Network. FLS offers secure and flexible land, rail or waterborne door-to-door transport including the Eurasian and shortsea networks. Additional services include unpacking and repacking, cross-docking, warehousing, container staffing as well as control tower operations.
DB Cargo will acquire access to customers in the consumer goods and other industries via FLS.
