Before moving to Securitrans in March 2017, Baer spent seven years as part of SBB Infrastructure’s management, where she led various units including production, logistics, fleet management, purchasing, sales and IT. The business economist graduated from the University of St Gallen.
Baer has also worked as a business consultant and was head of a start-up, and SBB says this entrepreneurial experience is an important requisite for the management of SBB Cargo.
SBB Cargo has around 2300 employees, and transports around 29.8 million net tonnes of freight a year.
