Rail Cargo Group boosts European intermodal network

RCG is also introducing a harmonised product offer to the market:

• TransFER: which covers rail services for both the intermodal and conventional freight transport, and
• TransNET: covering the entire network from Europe to Asia and, in this respect, is the cumulation of all available TransFER operations.

RCG recently introduced a twice-weekly intermodal TransFER service between Vienna and Piadena, Italy, which improves connections from markets in northern Italy to Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania.

At the start of October, RCG also began operating a twice-weekly service between the port of Rotterdam and the Bilk intermodal terminal in Budapest. In addition, the operator introduced a new weekly intermodal service between Lodz, Poland, and Halkali terminal in Istanbul at the end of October 2018.
