The underfloor lifting systems and mobile jacks are designed to perform a synchronised lift of a complete metro train with a total weight of up to 144 tonnes to an ergonomic working height, either for train inspection or to change the bogies. The Pfaff-Silberblau lifting systems meet the DIN EN 1493 European standard for vehicle lifting platforms.

Factory-acceptance testing of the lifting systems has already begun, and installation of the lifting systems and jacks is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016, so that operation in the workshops can start as soon as they have been handed over and staff training in Saudi Arabia has been completed. The completion of the Riyadh Metro is planned for 2019.
