The six-year contract will begin in December and DB Regio will use two-car class 426 EMUs, which already operate on this route.
Currently these services are operated jointly by DB Regio and Swiss operator Thurbo.
DB Regio wins Swiss-German regional contract
FOLLOWING a competitive tender, the German state of Baden-Württemberg and the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen have awarded DB Regio a contract to operate cross-border regional services between Singen and Schaffhausen.
