At a meeting in Warsaw, the president of PKP Cargo’s management board, Mr Czesław Warsewicz, and LG deputy general director, Mr Egidijus Lazauskas agreed the two companies would explore the possibility of using the Mockava and Kaunas intermdodal terminals in Lithuania for handling containers travelling from China to Poland, as well as the digitalisation of shipping documents and the use of the CIM consignment note for cargo destined for the EU.

“Maintaining operational contacts makes it easier to solve problems and improves the quality of our work while handling loads at the interface between the 1520mm and 1435mm gauge rail networks,” Warsewicz says.
