The 19.9km north-south line from Friendship Hospital to Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal 3 will serve 22 stations, including an interchange with metro Line 15 at Hualikan.
The project is the first to be implemented by Beijing Metro as a public-private partnership.
Trial operation is due to begin in 2019.
