The two board members are Mr Alexander Hedderich, who was a former head of DB Schenker Rail, and Mr Jörg Manegold, who held various management positions at DB including head of operations with DB's long-distance passenger division DB Fernverkehr and more recently head of procurement. Mr Henry Posner III continues as chairman.

From April 1, RDC's German operations will comprise a holding company, RDC Deutschland, and two train operating companies: Hamburg-Köln-Express (HKX), which has been operating an open-access service for more than three years, and RDC Autozug Sylt, which will start launch a new car-carrying service between Niebüll and Westerland on the island of Sylt following the award of 10-year framework agreement to operate the service.

Both RDC Deutschland and RDC Autozug Sylt will be led by Mr Karsten Nagel and Mr Jens Arne Jensen, assisted by Mr Carsten Carstensen. Nagel was a board member of Chiltern Railways, Britain, and has also worked for S-Bahn Hamburg, and East German Railway (ODEG), while Jensen has worked for Regionstog, Denmark, and Arriva and DB and in Denmark, Sweden and Qatar.

Germany's Federal Railway Authority (EBA) has now certified the rolling stock which RDC Autozug Sylt will use, paving the way for the start of trial operation.
