RFI awards Ansaldo STS €100m maintenance contract

ITALIAN Rail Network (RFI) has awarded Ansaldo STS a two-year €100m technical assistance and maintenance contract for its train control solutions installed across the Italian main line and high-speed network.

The contract comprises technical services, maintenance and repair of existing Ansaldo STS systems on the RFI network, including its RBC, SCC/SCCM, ACC/ACCM, SSA, SCMT-T and CTC Evo solutions.

SCC/SCCM is installed at junctions in Turin, Milan, Verona, Venice, Genoa, Naples, and Palermo, as well as on the Tirrenica and Adriatica lines. In addition, the contract comprises the use of RBC/ERTMS Level 2, ACC/ACCM and SCC/SCCM technologies used on the high-speed network.
